Folkestone is a town and predominately a port located in the English Channel in the South East of England. The Harbour was built in the early 1900’s around the original fishing port and has since become a busy cargo and passenger ferry port. The town is home to the Kent Battle of Britain Museum and has its own racecourse. From the port of Folkestone, there is easy access to motorway and rail networks making it easy to explore the beautiful Kent countryside known as ‘The Garden of England’.

Calais is a town and major ferry port in northern France overlooking the Strait of Dover, the narrowest point in the English Channel, and closest French town to England. Calais is also a notable fishing port and a centre for fish marketing. As well as being a major ferry port, the channel tunnel is also directly linked from Folkestone, as well as the port, the town has three rail terminals and local bus connections, giving easy access into the old and new town as well as direct connection to the motorway.
